The Harleston, Wortwell and District Angling Club owns and manages 6 well stocked fishing lakes in the Waveney Valley on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, together with some stretches of the River Waveney itself.
The lakes - also known as Weybread Pits - offer some of the best fishing around for both beginners and highly experienced anglers who are looking for a challenge.
Two lakes - the Club Pit and the Bottle Pit—are owned by the Club and can only be used by those holding an annual membership ticket.
The other four lakes - Middle Pit, No.1 Pit, Ocean Pit and Hall's Pit - are managed by the Club on behalf of the Harold Dean Charitable Trust. These 4 pits can be fished on Day or Weekly tickets and by Club members who choose to buy the extra facility. Only members can fish the river.
The third Club lake - Kingfisher in Watermill Lane - is currently under construction.
To find out more about the lakes, see our Lakes page.

Please remember that fish should only be photographed in the swim where they are caught.
The new Secretary/Treasurer of the club from 1st July will be Nigel Poll
Membership tickets for our new season starting on Sunday 1st June are now available from all our usual outlets
The Club is looking for a new Bailiff to check members' tickets at the lakes.
